"The path to creation often begins with serendipity, and so did ours. We met by chance in the bustling heart of New York—a city of endless energy and chaos—only to discover a quiet, grounding connection. We were from the same place, the Sichuan region of China, a land rich with history and spirituality, cradled by the misty Mount Qingcheng, a sacred sanctuary, the birthplace of Taoism.
What began as casual conversation soon revealed a shared love: spirituality, nature, design, and the mysteries of the world around us. We found ourselves captivated by the beauty of gemstones—tiny fragments of the earth’s story, each shaped by time and the forces of nature. They seemed to hold a quiet power, a connection to something deeper: the Tao, the essence of balance, energy, and life.
Our deep-rooted connection to Mount Qingcheng—where Taoist wisdom has echoed for centuries—and our love for traditional Chinese art and craftsmanship are at the heart of Maison Third.
